When Facebook Page access is lost
A company Facebook Page is often created years ago on a personal profile, an old agency login, or an employee who has since left. The Page still ranks on Google and still receives messages — but nobody in the business can change the about section, ads, or roles.
Meta does not “reset the password” for a Page. They restore access after they can see that the requester represents the legal business that owns the Page. That is identity and documents, not a hack and not a shortcut.
ZantaTech is a Meta Tech Partner. We help companies restore Facebook Page access and then keep Business Manager, roles, and connected assets (Instagram, ads, WhatsApp) under company control.
What Meta typically requires
To restore access and allow the company to update Facebook Page details, Meta usually asks for the four items below. Gathering them before you open a case saves weeks of back-and-forth.
-
1
Company-domain Facebook account A Facebook login tied to a company email such as name@yourdomain.com — not a personal Gmail or Yahoo address. Create or convert this account first; Meta uses it as the identity that will receive Page admin.
-
2
Company letterhead A signed letter on official letterhead stating that the company authorises the named person to manage the Page. ZantaTech provides a draft you can put on letterhead and sign. Do not write a free-form letter until you have the draft — wording matters.
-
3
ID of the person requiring access Government-issued photo ID of the individual who will become Page admin (passport, national ID, or driving licence). The name on the ID should match the Facebook account and the letter.
-
4
Business registration or acquisition certificate Proof the company exists and, if the Page came with a purchase, proof of acquisition. Examples: certificate of incorporation, GST / company registry extract, or a signed acquisition / asset-transfer document that names the Page or brand.
How ZantaTech helps with Meta
You should not have to learn Meta’s support paths the hard way. We handle the technical and process side so your team only supplies documents and a signature.
- Confirm which Facebook Page, Business Manager, and ad accounts are involved — so we restore the right asset, not a namesake Page.
- Set up or check the company-domain Facebook account and Business Manager ownership.
- Issue the letterhead draft and a checklist so names, Page URL, and dates match across every file.
- Review scans (ID, registration, acquisition papers) before they go to Meta, to catch the usual rejection reasons.
- Guide the Meta request until admin access is restored and you can update Page details, roles, and linked Instagram or WhatsApp assets.
- After access is back: recommend a company-owned structure so this does not happen again when someone leaves.
What “update Page details” means after restoration
Once Meta restores admin, you can again change the Page name (within Meta’s rules), about text, contact info, call-to-action, roles, and connected products. If the Page is linked to ads or WhatsApp, we check those links so you do not lose running campaigns while roles change.
Prepare this before you contact us
- The Facebook Page URL and, if you have it, the Page ID.
- Who last had admin (name, email, agency, or “unknown”).
- Whether the company bought the brand or Page from someone else.
- A company email mailbox you control (for the Facebook account).
Send those in the form on this page. We reply with the letterhead draft and the exact document list for your case.
Frequently asked questions
How long does Facebook Page access restoration take?
It depends on how complete the documents are and how Meta queues the case. Incomplete names or a personal email account are the usual delays. With a company-domain account and a clean letter, many businesses hear back in days to a few weeks — not months of guessing.
We bought the company. Can we still claim the Page?
Often yes, if you can show the acquisition or asset transfer. That is why the registration or acquisition certificate is on Meta’s list. Share the sale documents with us first so we know which certificate to include.
Will ZantaTech keep admin on our Page?
No. The goal is company-owned access. We may use a temporary role to complete the work, then leave admins on your company-domain accounts.
